PRESSURE REGULATOR COMPACT 8011

The Type 8011 sliding gate pressure regulator (typically manufactured by Schubert & Salzer) features a flow-optimized sliding gate disc design and a compact, self-operated spring housing. It offers exceptional corrosion resistance and high versatility for regulating steam, liquids, and gases in process engineering, chemical industries, and plant equipment.

Key features of the Type 8011 pressure regulator:

Optimized, self-operated design: Utilizing a sliding gate mechanism consisting of a fixed disc and a parallel-sliding movable disc the device automatically regulates inlet or outlet pressure without the need for external energy sources (such as electricity or compressed air). This design eliminates vibration, minimizes noise, and mitigates erosion caused by cavitation (the formation and collapse of vapor bubbles that can damage metal).

Resilience under extreme pressure and environmental conditions: Both the valve body and the actuator are constructed from high-quality stainless steel. The unit is designed to handle a wide fluid temperature range from -60°C to +230°C (or up to +300°C, depending on the version) and operating pressures up to PN16–PN40 or ANSI #150–#300. It ensures durable performance even in demanding environments, such as those involving solvent vapors, marine atmospheres, or harsh chemical cleaning agents.

Optimal flow characteristics and high precision: The valve disc travel is very short (only 1/4 to 1/2 inch) yet delivers a high Kvs/Cv value, enabling highly responsive and precise pressure control across four flexible spring-loaded adjustment ranges (from 0.3 to 10 bar).

Media isolation and customizable sealing: Sealing rings and diaphragms are available in a variety of high-grade materials such as CR (Neoprene), EPDM, FKM, or PTFE-coated membranes ensuring superior leak resistance and compliance with stringent emission standards, including TA-Luft and ISO 15848-1.

Industrial-grade materials and construction: The valve body is cast entirely from stainless steel (e.g., 1.4408/CF8M or 1.4571/316Ti), offering exceptional corrosion resistance. The product meets international safety standards, including ATEX certification for non-electrical explosion-proof equipment and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).

Compact design with extensive configuration options: The wafer-type (flangeless) valve body is ultra-compact and lightweight, saving installation space and significantly reducing overall system weight. Available in sizes from DN15 to DN125 (1/2 inch to 5 inch, up to 6 inches for the GS3 series), these valves function as either pressure-reducing valves or back-pressure control/relief valves.
